SPECIAL EVENT: Beginner Dichroic Glass Class

March 16, 2006

Introduction to Fused Dichroic Glass Jewelry

Beads n' Stitches has contracted with another artist to
offer this special class. This class had a tremendous
response when if was offered earlier so another class has
been added for April 20th.

Explore the possibilities of glass fusing using Dichroic
glass, a marriage of space age technology and ancient art
form. Dichroic glass was originally developed by NASA for
scientific applications such as lasers, lenses and filters.
In the 1970's it was used in art glass and now is quickly
becoming a desirable art form. Techniques including
cutting, safety, compatibility and design will be
discussed. Emphasis will be on creative expression while
using sound methods and techniques. Each student will
complete the class with a selection of jewelry pieces which
may include pendants, earrings, brooches, cabochons and
jewelry components that may be used in other jewelry
projects.

Workshop fee $100. Includes materials kit. Length of
Workshop is 4 hours

Class size is very limited so don't wait to sign up or you
may miss out.

We appreciate your business and are pleased to be able to
offer these types of special classes.
